About the DDC 4 Classroom Course
The Defensive Driving Course 4 (DDC 4) was developed by the National Safety Council and is managed through Kentucky Safe Driver (KSD) a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization established by the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation (CSPFF) in 2016.
Our goal is to reduce the number of violations, injuries and fatalities associated with automobile crashes. This course includes defensive driving principles and strategies, factors that create risk, recognizing unsafe driving situations, and furthering the understanding that our choices are based on thought and reason. Participants are taught to take responsibility for their behavior and to make the right driving choices.
This 4-hour course is taught by certified current and former law enforcement instructors and is designed for drivers of all ages who have been mandated by the courts to take such a course or who wish to improve their skills. The course is provided by Kentucky Safe Driver.
